The UAE debt finance market is changing. For many years, businesses seeking financing in the UAE have looked primarily to banks. Long-standing banking relationships, familiar lending structures and established sources of liquidity have traditionally made bank lending the natural starting point for borrowers. That position is beginning to evolve. Private credit and other alternative sources of capital are playing an increasingly important role in the UAE debt finance market.
